Approvers have the highest level of permission within a group. They have the same permissions as managers, but they have additional permissions to allow them to approve and close tasks and document workflows, and create document versions.

Tasks and workflows

Approvers get notified by email when tasks and workflows reach a specific status, regardless of their notification settings. Additionally, only approvers are allowed to set some statuses.

The following table summarizes which statuses behave specifically for approvers using the default configuration. See default status for details.

For managers: The group properties define which statuses trigger the notification and which ones can only be set. A group can be configured to use different statuses or change these restrictions.
