We’ve modernized the way we handle URLs so that you can manage them more efficiently. We’ve introduced URL types to attach specific metadata to URLs based on their domain or media type. The metadata is editable and searchable and PageSeeder can even fetch some of the metadata for you automatically.
This feature lets you manage and connect external content with PageSeeder documents.
You can add URL from the plus button or using the bookmarklet.
We’ve re-architected links in your document so that they are now backed by URLs. In doing so, PageSeeder can now fetch metadata about the pages the links are pointed to and tell you where they are being used, like xrefs.
You can now get more information about the xrefs and links in PageSeeder when you hold the mouse over the link or xref.
In images and PDF documents, you can now draw a region and add a link, an xref, or a comment.
With this new feature, you can connect parts of images or PDF documents to other documents, including other PDF documents, or even to external resources.
You can now use the same bookmarks and history from whenever you sign in to PageSeeder across all your devices. You can manage the data that is stored against your profile at any time from your account security settings and password page.
PageSeeder can now store a profile picture to make your experience more personable and make it easier to identify other users. If you don’t want to use a profile picture, the default avatar has also been improved.
You can now search all your content in PageSeeder without leaving your group or project, by using the ”global search” switch.
As the global template is becoming more important, we’ve added a page for administrators to quickly view and manage the global template.
In developer view, you can now see the source of your document in the document developer panel. You can also clear the cache (if prompted by support) or reprocess the metadata of URLs and multimedia documents.
You can compare document variations, that is documents which have been created from the same document.
You can also view document comparisons while you’re editing a document. The document comparison is displayed in the preview panel instead of the main panel so that you can continue editing while reviewing the changes.
Comments now support strikethrough text, superscript and subscript styles. We’ve made it easier to add code blocks and code samples.
We’ve also improved how we handle content pasted from other sources and refreshed the styles so they are more consistent throughout the interface.
And we now support emojis !
With the workflow navigation panel, you can now navigate your documents based on their workflow status, priority or assignment so that you can quickly get to documents that require your attention.
When you’re reviewing documents, the workflow summary is displayed before your document so that you can see at a glance what to do.
We’ve rounded the corners to make the user interface elements such as buttons and dialogs easier to distinguish and visually more appealing.
We’ve also added some color to our account pages.
Some messages are now presented as screen notifications on the top right corner of your screen.
We’ve updated the typography on Windows to make text more readable and faster to load.
