What’s new in version 5.9904

Key point: Search and replace, track changes on documents and note authors.

Search and replace

You can now search and replace words and characters in multiple documents. This feature is available from the documents page and from the document search panel when viewing a document.

The search and replace feature lets you search characters and terms which might be ignored by the index search.

This feature is currently limited to the text content of fragments, and it cannot be used for modifying properties, metadata, or xrefs.

You can replace whole words or only specific characters. You can also see a preview of the changes and interactively select which terms to replace.

Or you can automatically replace occurrences in multiple documents at once.

By default, the search and replace feature automatically adds an edit note to every fragment that has been modified so that you can see in the history how it was modified.

Track changes by author for documents

In the version 5.9903, we introduced an option to track of changes by author in fragments from the fragment history.

That feature has now been expanded to the whole document, so that you can track every piece of content in your document from the compare panel.

Note authors

In version 5.9903, we added an option to add notes during document validation. You can now see the author of notes in the fragment history panel and edit notes panel.

And in the edit note tooltip.

Refreshed email templates

Email templates have been updated slightly to be more consistent with the user interface.
