How to create a publication

Key point: Create a publication.

Prerequisites

User must have role of contributor or higher. You have identified the document root of your publication.

1 Go to document info

You can set a document as publication from its document info, which you can do from either:

  1. The document view page when you click the icon in the right sidebar to open the document info and metadata panel.
  2. Or, the documents page when you click the icon to the right of the document to open the document properties dialog.

2 Make the document a publication

From the document info form:

  1. Click the  Make this document a publication button at the bottom of the panel.
  2. PageSeeder automatically generates a valid unique identifier for your publication – you can edit the suggested publication ID.
  3. Choose a type.
  4. Click the Submit button. After submitting, click the Save button to save your changes.

If the  Make this document a publication button isn’t available, the document is probably already a publication.
