Security tokens

Key point: Provide temporary permission to use your account on your behalf.

Account security

Administrators can view details about a members account:

  • Account created – the date the account was created.
  • Account activated – the date the account was activated.
  • Last password change – the date the password was last changed.
  • Last signed in – the date and time the member last signed in.

Tokens

For your convenience, PageSeeder issues tokens that allow you or other applications to use your account without having to enter your full credentials (your username or email and your password).

Security tokens are issued:

  • When you reset your email.
  • When you change your password.
  • When you select the “remember me” option to keep you signed in.
  • When an authorized third-party app requests it, so that you don’t have to re-enter your credentials.

They expire automatically, but you can revoke them at any time, only from your own account security settings and password page:

  • If you no longer need them.
  • If you don't recognize them.
  • To prevent them from being used.

Revoking a token takes immediate effect.

For administrators: Administrators can review security tokens issued for individual users on the member’s account profile page or the member panel.
