Header bar

Key point: The top bar on each page to navigate the user interface.

The header bar appears at the top of each page after you have signed in.

It lets you access:

Context

The header changes when you’re inside a group or project to give more relevant options. Only the buttons to the left of the search bar change.

Within a project, the project title is displayed following the icon, then buttons to access the most common project pages.

Within a group, the group title is displayed following the icon, then buttons to access the most common group pages.

Project navigation

When you’re within a project, click the project title to open the navigation menu.

Project homepage

Click the button to go to the project homepage.

Project dashboard

If you’re a manager of the project, click the button to go to the project dashboard page.

Group navigation

When you’re within a group, click the group title to open the navigation menu.

Group homepage

Click the button to go to the group homepage.

Group discussions

Click the button to go to the group discussions page.

Group tasks and workflows

Click the button to go to the group tasks and workflows page.

Group documents

Click the button to go to the group documents page.

Group dashboard

If you’re a manager of the group, click the button to go to the group dashboard page.

Bookmark

The button lets you add or remove a bookmark. See how to bookmark a page.

Account menu

The profile picture opens the account menu where you can update your details, set your preferences, and more.

Administration

The System administration button opens the administration dashboard page. This option is only available to administrators.

Help

The Help button opens the help panel based on the page you’re currently viewing.

Styling

Color based on theme

The color of the header bar depends on the theme used in PageSeeder. 

If your organization doesn’t specify a theme, you can choose your own in your preferences page.

System administration

As a visual cue for administrators, when visiting a page from the system administration, the header bar is darker and the System administration button appears in red.

Configuration

Administrators can specify the theme color and icon to display in the organization configuration.
