Key point: PageSeeder’s interface features a header bar, toolbar, collapsible panels, and main
content area.
PageSeeder’s interface is designed for efficient document management and collaboration.
The layout consists of several key components, shown in the following diagram:
Header bar
The header bar spans the top of the interface and contains essential navigation elements:
- Navigation menu – Located on the left side, providing access to the groups, bookmarks, and recently
viewed documents.
- Search bar – In the middle, to search for documents, comments, and tasks in the current context.
- Account menu – Positioned on the right side, offering quick access to user account settings, preferences,
and sign-out options.
Beneath its header bar, a group homepage also has a dark blue header.
Toolbar
Located immediately below the header bar, the toolbar provides context-specific options
that change based on your current activity:
- When browsing projects or folders – it displays relevant navigation and management options.
- When viewing documents – it shows document-specific tools for editing, versioning, and other document operations.
- When searching – it provides search filters and search options.
The toolbar adapts dynamically to provide the most relevant actions for your current
context.
Sidebars and panels
PageSeeder features collapsible panels on both sides of the interface:
- Left sidebar – Opens the left panel, typically used for navigation through the project hierarchy,
folders, and document collections.
- Right sidebar – Opens the right panel, commonly used for metadata, properties, and additional information
about the selected item.
Some panels can be opened without a sidebar; for example, the document panel opens to right when you click the
icon to preview a document.
Main content
The central area of the interface displays the primary content you’re working with:
- Shows document content when editing or viewing.
- Displays folder contents when browsing.
- Presents search results, dashboards, or other requested information.
- Adapts to provide the appropriate workspace for your current task.
This modular layout lets you customize your workspace according to your current needs
while maintaining easy access to all PageSeeder’s powerful features.
