Project search page

Key point: Search across the groups within a project.

This page lets you search across all the groups that you’re a member of within the current project.

To go to the project search page, ensure that you’re in a project and put the cursor or some text in the search bar and press the ENTER key.

This displays a page with options for improving the results of a search. The search bar is always available and lets you enter the text or query to search.

Even if you’re an administrator, the search only includes results from your groups. It won’t include groups under the project that you’re not a member of.

Use the search bar and search filters to modify your search; use the search options to change how the results are displayed.

Changing your query

Along with the search bar, use search filters to add additional search criteria to refine your search. The search results are updated automatically when you change or apply a new filter.

If your groups use different configurations for the tasks and workflows, or if they contain and use different types of content, it might complicate the filtering options.

Handling the results

The search options let you specify how to display: the search results, which page of the results when there are many, and how they are sorted.

When you search within a project, you can also:

  • Use the edit sheet to modify values directly from the search results.
  • Apply an action to a selected list of results, using the batch action dialog.

The results usually include the group, to indicate which group each result comes from.

Shared documents

If you have documents which are shared between groups within that project, they might be returned multiple times in the search results (once per group).

URLs

If you have URLs which are used in multiple groups within that project, they are listed once and include the list of groups they are used in.

How to find this page
