Changing your password

To change your password:

  1. Enter your new password.
  2. Once your password is strong enough, enter your new password again in the Confirm new password field to confirm. You receive confirmation when they match.
  3. Once you’ve confirmed your new password, enter the password you currently use.
  4. Click Update password.

You receive an email to confirm that you have successfully changed your password.

Security activity

PageSeeder keeps track of the main security events in your account.

The security activity lets you review these dates to make sure that your account has not been compromised.

Multifactor authentication

Multifactor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second verification method beyond your password when signing in.

The authenticators table shows:

  • All MFA devices or methods you've registered.
  • When each authenticator was created.
  • When each was last used.
  • Options to verify, rename, or delete your authenticator.

Adding a new authenticator

  1. Click Register to open the register authenticator dialog.
  2. Follow the prompts to set up your new authentication method.
  3. Verify the authenticator immediately after registration when prompted.

Authenticators marked as unverified need to be verified before use. Click the Verify button to open the verify authenticator dialog and complete the setup.

Using MFA

Once you have at least one verified authenticator, MFA is automatically enabled on your account.

During sign-in, you’ll be prompted to use one of your verified authenticators in addition to your password. You can choose which authenticator to use during the sign-in process.

Only you can create and manage authenticators for your account. If you are unable to sign in, an administrator can create an email authenticator so that you can use your registered email address as a second factor.

Best practices

Register multiple authenticators as backups in case one is lost or unavailable.

Give each authenticator a recognizable name to easily identify it when signing in. You can change the name of an authenticator by clicking the icon.

Remove unused authenticators by clicking the icon and confirm in the confirmation dialog.

Tokens

The tokens table lists all the security tokens that PageSeeder has issued for your account.

Personal data

PageSeeder stores your personal data, including your bookmarks, recently accessed groups, recently viewed documents, and profile picture. Click the icon to delete any personal information you don’t want stored.
