Fragment panel

Key point: Shows a single fragment in the right panel.

This panel opens on the right side of the interface, providing a preview of your content as it appears in the document without leaving the editing environment.

The preview displays your last saved draft content, not real-time changes. Your current draft is identified by a blue icon on a blue bar to the left of your fragment.

The fragment panel is particularly useful for viewing elements that aren't visible in the standard editor, such as:

  • Transclusions (content included from other sources).
  • Math elements (ASCII math, TeX, and MathML formulas).
  • Specific formatting and styling effects.
  • Content in specialized media fragments like SVG and Markdown that don't have built-in live previews.

When viewing a fragment that has been removed from the document but remains in the system, a icon appears at the top of the panel. This indicates the fragment is archived and not part of the active document.

Remember to click the icon in the top bar of the panel whenever you want to refresh the preview after making changes.
