Comment moderation page

Key point: For moderators to accept comments.

This page lets the moderator review and edit a comment before it can be accepted into the group.

This page is only used by moderators when a group has been set up so that comments are moderated.

For managers: To enable comment moderation, your group requires one member who has an email address and with the role of ‘moderator’. The group configuration Comment moderation controls which comments are moderated.

Moderation email

When moderation is enabled, the comments that require moderation are first sent to the moderator, who can accept the comment after they review it on the PageSeeder user interface.

Click the Accept button to go to the comment moderation page and review the comment.

Comment moderation options

The comment moderation page shows a single comment using a presentation similar to the discussions page.

Click the Edit author button to change the original author of the comment. It opens a dialog to set the full name and email address of the author. The fields are pre-filled with the details of the original author. Setting the email associates the comment to that account, but it won’t be displayed to other members.

Click the Edit location button to open the move comment dialog so that you can move the comment to a different location, which might be a different group, discussion, document or fragment.

Click the Edit content button to open the comment dialog. It lets you modify the title, content and labels of the comment.

You can change the message settings to the right, to send the updated comment by email to other group members.

Click Accept when the message is ready to be made available to other group members.

Comment already moderated

If the comment has already been accepted, you see a message callout indicating that it has already been accepted.
