Default editor – Lists

Key point: Editing numbered and bullet lists using the default editor.

List

Options to quickly apply list formatting to text are available in the middle of the editing toolbar.

Numbered lists

To create a numbered list, click the format numbered list icon in the editing toolbar.

Alternatively, you can use one of the block patterns available for numbered lists. Toggle the list numbering by clicking the icon.

To create a sublist, press the Tab or Shift+Tab or you can use the Decrease/Increase paragraph or list indent buttons on the editing toolbar.

You can specify the type of numbering in these ways:

  • Click the icon to the right of the format numbered list icon and select one of the options.
  • Click the Edit list properties option in the editing context menu to open the following dialog, where you can also set the start number for the list.

Click the Save button to save your edits.

You can also add a role to a numbered list.

Bullet lists

To create a bullet list, click the icon in the editing toolbar. Alternatively, you can use one of the bullet list block patterns * or -. Toggle the bullet list by clicking the icon.

To create a sublist, press the Tab or Shift+Tab or you can use the Decrease/Increase paragraph or list indent buttons on the editing toolbar.

You can specify the type of bullet in these ways:

  • Click the icon to the right of the icon in the editing toolbar and select one of the options.
  • Click the Edit list properties option in the editing context menu to open the following dialog where you can select a type for the list, for example, Bullet, Circle or Square.

Click the Save button to save your edits.

You can also add a role to a bullet list.
