Search options

Key point: Change how your search results are displayed.

The search options let you decide how the results are formatted, sorted and grouped.

To change the query use the search bar or the search filters.

Format

The search result format lets you choose how results are formatted. There are four options:

Select columns to display

When Table or Sheet are selected, the Select columns... button becomes active – click to show options for columns to display in your table/sheet, organized under four tabs: Core, Properties, Metadata and Inline labels. You can click any tab to display more available options for that particular tab. Select checkboxes to display options in your search results.

To the right of any option:

  • A icon – indicates fields with values that are editable in an edit sheet.
  • A number in a blue circle – indicates the order in which that option was selected.

To remove columns from display, clear the checkbox.

Search actions

When you have chosen a search filter scope other than “Anything”,  after the results of a search have been returned in table format , there is an option to select some, or all, of the rows in the result. Click one or more checkboxes on the left to select rows then the Select an action menu becomes active. This menu provides options for a range of processes to be applied to the selected results. Selecting an option opens the batch action dialog.
