This search filter narrows down the search to results that match a specified date range.
The date range is adjusted for your local timezone. You can see the timezone used by the filter in the bottom right corner.
You can select the time scale; for example, days, weeks, months. Hours is the default.
Or you can select “Custom” to enter the dates manually.
When a timescale is selected, the graph shows whether there are any results in the date range — hold the cursor over any bar to get the actual number of results.
Drag the slider to select a range. The selected values are displayed beneath the slider.
If you have large differences between the values, clicking the Log switch gives a more compact view of the results. This is useful in situations where the results are not equally distributed, for example when most results are concentrated within a narrow time range. See Numeric range filter.
For each timescale, you can click a predefined range to so that you don't have to specified it using the slider.
Users can either select individual dates using the date pickers or they can use the calendar to select the range directly—the two are linked.
Use the date pickers in the following cases to create an open range search where only one value is selected; that is when you want search before or after a specific date instead of between two dates.
Fields that have a date filter available are:
When the selected field is “Due date” or a property, the filter let you search in future dates; for other fields, only past dates are displayed.
