Post a comment by email to a group
Every group has an email address. This address is comprised of the group name plus the server name. (e.g. <firstname.lastname@example.org> where <demo-project> is the group and <yourserver.com> is the PageSeeder server.
If a user would like to simply lodge a comment with the group but not have it redirected to all the group members, simply insert "-silent" just before the "@" symbol. (e.g. <email@example.com>)
To post a comment to the group by email to all members regardless of their notification settings, simply insert "-announce" just before the "@" symbol. (eg. <firstname.lastname@example.org>)
To post a comment to the group and preserve it's original content simply insert "-preserve" just before the "@" symbol. (eg. (eg. <email@example.com>)
These options for posting comments via email are displayed at the bottom of the home page for a group, which is shown in the screenshot below. They are underneath the heading 'Post comments by email'. To post comments without using email, see How do I add a new comment?
