Structure editing

Key point: Quickly rearrange the structure of your document.

Structure editing provides a powerful way to reorganize your document. When in document review mode, you can switch to this dedicated mode to focus on rearranging content structure.

In structure editing mode, you can perform actions on multiple fragments at once. Select individual or multiple fragments and delete them, or move them by dragging and dropping them to a new position in your document.

  • Click the Edit structure icon in the document toolbar.
  • Click a fragment to select it – to select additional fragments, press and hold the Shift key and click the additional fragments. Then you can:
    • Move – Drag and drop in a new location in the document.
    • Delete – Click the Archive fragment icon.

Structure editing mode holds changes locally until you save, letting you experiment with different arrangements before committing. Before you save your changes, if you’re not happy with your restructuring, you can click the Undo last change icon.

Working with larger documents becomes more straightforward when you collapse or expand fragments at once using the Collapse all fragments or Expand all fragments icons as needed. This reduces clutter and scrolling, letting you quickly switch between detailed and overview perspectives.
