Default publish actions

Key point: PageSeeder's built-in actions for exporting content in various formats from documents, publications, folders, or batches.

PageSeeder’s default template includes several built-in publish actions ready for immediate use. These actions cover common export and publishing needs.

Default export actions

Document

Export as PDF – Converts the current document to PDF format for download.
Export as DOCX – Exports the document as a Microsoft Word (.docx) file.
Export as PSML – Provides the raw PSML document and images as a zipped set for download.
Export as Markdown – Converts PSML to Markdown format for use in other systems.

Publication

Export publication as PDF – Exports the entire publication as a single PDF file.
Export publication as DOCX – Exports the entire publication as a single Microsoft Word (.docx) file.
Exports Publication as PSML – Exports the entire publication and images as a zipped set of PSML and image files.

Folder

Export documents in this folder – Exports all documents in the selected folder as a zipped set of files.

Batch

Export as DOCX – Exports the selected documents as a a zipped set of Microsoft Word (.docx) files (only works for PSML documents and exports entire publication for publication root documents).
Export as PSML – Exports all selected documents and their images as a zipped set of PSML and image files.

Group

Export all documents in this group – Exports all documents in the group as a zipped set of files.

Default process actions

Batch

Create references document – Creates a PSML references document from the selected documents and uploads it to the specified destination in PageSeeder.

Publish scripts can also be used to import content upon upload; for example, when importing Word documents or Markdown files.
