To edit the display of an image, in edit mode, select the image then click the
After making changes, click Save button to keep them or Cancel to abandon them.
An image that you upload to the group but choose not to display in the document, stays in the group. To remove an unwanted image from the group, use the folders panel.
When an image is selected, you can edit how to display this image in the document.
The title of selected image is displayed on the top-left corner and its preview is shown to the left of the input fields. To use a different image, click Change.
Edit the alternate title of the image in the Title field.
The alternate image title doesn’t usually appear in documents, but it might be used as a caption or to provide a title for accessibility.
The title you specify in this field is only used in the current document and doesn’t affect the actual image document. Consider giving the image document itself a useful document title, particularly if the image is used in multiple documents, as it makes your image easier to search and that title is used by default when you insert that image in a document.
Type a number in either the Width or Height field to specify the dimensions, in pixels, of how you want to display your image in the document.
Aspect ratio
By default, the aspect ratio is locked so that when you change either dimension the other adjusts proportionally. When the aspect ratio is locked, you can change the dimensions of an image using the sliding scale.

PageSeeder computes the dimensions of your image on upload or from the search results.
If the dimensions aren’t available or the image doesn’t have any intrinsic value (for example, vector graphics like SVG), the height and width fields are left blank.
All images in a group initially display by default as thumbnails. If there are many images, you can use the scroll bar on the right.
As the page scrolls, thumbnails load. The speed of loading is slower when image size is large.
If there are too many images to choose from, you can narrow down your search by name or location.
Start typing an image title or filename in the Lookup field to only show images which title, filename, Document ID or URI ID that start with the value you entered.
By default, all images in the whole group display. If you know where your image is located, you can specify a folder in the Location field, by either navigating using the breadcrumbs, or clicking the
Click an image thumbnail to view it in more detail. You can also navigate the image
thumbnails using the arrow keys (
Enter
or Return
to select an image thumbnail.
Click the Select this image button when done to return to the edit image display form.
If you want to use an image that isn’t available in your group, select the
Choose the location to upload the image – click the Upload folder field to navigate to group folders. By default, the upload folder has the filename
of your current document suffixed by _files
.
The image displays – you can then enter the title for the image document in the File title field or change the filename. If the title field is left blank, the title is the same as the image filename.

After you attempt to upload your file, but the file already exists in the same folder, the dialog shows an error message.
To upload your new image, you can:
When you overwrite an image file, the original file is replaced by the new one. PageSeeder does not keep a copy of the original image.
