This panel is accessible from the administrator interface when you view/edit a file used in a project template, for example, the document template. They are usually, XSLT, XML, CSS, XML, PSML or JS files.
If the file already exists, it loads the file and displays its content.
If it doesn’t exist, the content is pre-filled with a basic sample file with comments and examples so that developers don’t have to write it from scratch and can edit and save the file. For example, when loading a new document template, the code editor contains a basic sample document template. Built-in PageSeeder files are automatically validated.
Default files are not editable but can be viewed for reference – click the

You can wrap or download the contents. The Help button is shown if relevant developer documentation is available.
As they are editable, project template files show a History button – click to open the File history dialog. You can see any revisions, the file size and date of last modification. The
contents of each revision can be accessed by clicking the
