Index logs (system) page

Key point: Index logs from all the groups within the system.

Index logs for the system can be seen by an administrator.

All documents, comments, URLs and tasks have their metadata and content stored in the group index to be available for searches. Any modification triggers an update to that content in the index. An index log is then generated when content (or metadata) is edited, saved, updated or created, for example, a document edit or adding a new comment.

The Index logs (system) page shows the logs, also known as tickets, for the current date. The system time and date are on the top right. For other days, select from the calendar in the date field, or click the or icons. The meaning of the icons for the indexing process or individual events are as follows:

  • Green icon – indicates that the indexing, or individual event in the indexing was completed successfully.
  • Red icon – indicates that the indexing, or individual event in the indexing had some errors.
  • Orange  icon – indicates that the indexing, or individual event in the indexing had some issues that require a warning.

To see the logs for a group, click the icon in the Select a group field – the number of groups that had indexable events is shown. Click in the Select a ticket field then click a ticket from the drop-down list – the total number of tickets for the group is shown.

Tickets

For each ticket, the following information is displayed:

  • Title – a short description of the ticket.
  • Launched by – the username of the member who started the ticket (process and publish logs only).
  • Started – time the ticket started.
  • Ended – time the ticket ended.
  • Total time – total time to process the ticket.
  • Infos, Warnings, and Errors – the total number of each in the ticket.
  • Display levels field – click in the field to choose from drop-down menu:
    • All
    • Errors and warnings only
    • Debug only
  • Filter logs – type a search term to find in the listed events in the ticket.

A table shows a list of the individual events in the ticket. The number of pages, number of errors and warnings precedes the table. On the right, click the icon to select the Page size from the drop-down.

The Time of each event and a Message about the event is shown and these can be sorted by clicking the icon to the right of each column heading.

Clicking the icon on the right of an event opens the related panel on the right.
