Location filter

Key point: Filter results by location.

This filter returns items based on their location. This includes:

Documents in folders within the selected location.
Tasks and comments attached to these documents.

This filter returns items, and also its descendants within the specified folder, rather than precisely that folder.

Options

Users can use the folder input to select a folder – click the icon in the Select location field to navigate to a folder. Users can also click the icon to open the folder tree structure and select a folder from there.

Due to space constraints, only the last location folder is displayed. Clicking ‘..’ lets you change the location to the parent folder.

The selected location is displayed immediately following the Select location field input, with the number of matching results showing to its right. Results are listed based on the number of matching results, from the folders that contain the most to those which contain the least. Folders with no matching results are not listed.

When all possible folders cannot be displayed, a message advising this is displayed.

Field

This filter uses the ancestor fields, which include the folder of the selected location and any ancestor folders.
