Member moderation page

Key point: Accept or reject pending members of the group.

This page lets the moderator decide whether to accept a new member into the group.

This page is only used by moderators when a group has been set up so that memberships are moderated.

For managers: To enable comment moderation, your group requires one member who has an email address and with the role of ‘moderator’. Set the group configuration Members > Joining to  Moderated. The group must also be set to be Visible to another group or “public” to appear in the list of groups users can join in their groups and invitations page.

If membership moderation is enabled, an email is first sent to the moderator, who can accept the new membership after they review it on the PageSeeder user interface.

Click the Accept button to go to the membership moderation page and review the request.

Membership moderation options

The page shows the membership details of the user who requested to join the group including:

  • Their Role.
  • Their Notification setting.
  • Whether to disclose their email to other group members.
  • Whether to send a welcome email to the member.

You can change these settings to override the user’s preferences.

Click Accept to let them join the group.

Or click Decline to reject the request.
