Template files page

Key point: Browse and manage the configuration files in your project template.

Project template files store settings that customize or override the default configuration files (which are seen on the default files page). On this page, you can view all the configuration files defined in a project.

Files can include:

Options on folders

To the right of folders, use the options in the drop-down to do the following:

  •  Create file or folder – create a subfolder or a file.
  • Upload – upload a file.
  • Delete – delete a file.

Additionally, in the top project folder, in the drop-down you can select the following options:

  • Organization config – create an organization folder that contains a file: organization-config.xml.
  • Membership config – type in a filename for the custom details type, ending with .xml. For example, type in contact.xml. A member folder is automatically created that contains a file with the name you entered. Edit this file to configure custom member details that can be selected under the advanced options (group) on the group configuration page.

Options on files

To the right of files, use the options in the drop-down to do the following:

  • Download – download a file.
  • Edit – edit the content of the file in a template file panel.
  • History – view the change history of the file.
  • Rename – rename the file.
  • Delete – delete the file.

Create new template files

Clicking the Create... button at the bottom left opens the samples dialog where you can create new template files for your project form the samples provided.

After creation it’s best to use the template configuration page or publish scripts page to manage these files.

Import/export template files

Click the  Import... button to import files, or click Export... to export all the template folders and files in a zip file.
