PDF outline panel
Key point: Shows the outline of a PDF document using PDF bookmarks.

The PDF outline displays the outline of a PDF document by using the bookmarks defined in that PDF.

This panel only appears when viewing a PDF document and is shown open on the left side by default.

Click an individual bookmark in the outline to go to the page corresponding to that bookmark.

Some PDF documents do not contain any bookmarks. In that case, PageSeeder displays the following message “The PDF does not define any outline”.

Because bookmarks are defined inside the PDF file, you cannot edit the bookmarks with PageSeeder – you need to use a PDF writer or editor.

How to find this page

When viewing a PDF, click the icon in the left sidebar to open the PDF outline panel.
